Natural hand-cut sandstone is a popular choice for enhancing the rustic appeal of your garden. It creates a traditional atmosphere, ensuring that your outdoor area is filled with character and charm throughout the seasons. Whether you're hosting summer barbecues or enjoying winter firework displays, sandstone is one of the most durable, frost-resistant materials available for exterior use.
Our sandstone is calibrated to a thickness of 22mm (with a tolerance of +/- 2-3mm), making installation easier and more efficient. Due to its porous nature, we strongly recommend applying a primer to the underside of each slab. This ensures a strong bond between the base and the slabs while preventing moisture from seeping in, which could lead to mirror staining as the installation dries.
To maximize the longevity and appearance of your paving, it’s advisable to seal the surface with a breathable natural stone sealer. This will protect against algae and moss buildup, as well as fading from UV rays. Sealing also helps prevent staining.
Please avoid using acid-based cleaners, such as brick acid, on natural stone, as they can cause permanent damage.
All our images are provided for reference regarding color, patterns, and tones, and may be taken wet or dry. Sandstone appears more vibrant when wet and displays softer pastel tones when dry.
