Our sandstone is calibrated to a thickness of 22mm (with a tolerance of +/- 1-2mm), ensuring that all slabs are cut to a consistent thickness for easier installation. Due to its porous nature, we strongly recommend applying a primer to the underside of each slab. This will ensure a strong bond between the base and the slabs while preventing moisture from seeping in, which could lead to mirror staining as the installation dries.
For optimal results and longevity of your paving, it is highly advisable to seal the surface with a breathable natural stone sealer. This will protect against algae and moss buildup, as well as fading from UV rays. Sealing will also help prevent staining.
Please avoid using acid-based cleaners, such as brick acid, on natural stone, as they can cause permanent damage.
